BTW Library Tech Talk

Todays theme: Adding fun and games (and more learning dimensions) to your classroom!
This newsletter is a collection of digital tips and tricks to share with you. If you have any helpful technology your peers would benefit from I want to know! Please email me at harmoka@tulsaschools.org and I will include it in the next Tech Talk.
Breakout EDU
Breakout EDU provides games to add to your curriculum bringing critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication to your students' learning.
Subjects included are: Social Studies, Language, Math, Science, Library, Team Development, Physical Education, Arts, and Holiday and Seasonal Games. Click here to see the subject packs.
The user generated games in every topic are free. You will have to look through a few to see ones for High School, but they are there. I hope these can add a new dimension to your class.

Google Cast for Education
This is a free Chrome Extension that allows you and your students to cast (or share) their screens wirelessly to other screens in the classroom. This is one I haven't tried yet, but would love to! It was shared at the Oklahoma Technology Association Convention in October. Find out more at g.co/castforedu

Funky Google tricks for class announcements:
Google: "Do a barrel roll" and the entire Google screen rolls 360 degrees!
Google: "Google gravity" and your search engine shatters! You are still able to click the links and get to where you want to go, it just puts a "unique" bounce to your desktop.
Feeling a little unbalanced? Type "askew" into the Google tool bar and it will tip your screen!
