Please Take The Online Survey
Dear Parents:
As our school year comes to a close, we ask that you reflect and provide feedback by taking this end-of-year survey. This survey is comprehensive and asks questions ranging from district leadership, campus safety and security and campus communication. This survey should take about 40 minutes to complete. While we recognize this survey is lengthy, our district has used past survey data to make critical decisions. For example, based on last year’s input, our district added bus safety features, hired an MISD college and career readiness counselor to improve and support counseling services at all of our campuses and established a Parent University program providing parent learning opportunities. These new added features are a small sampling of how your input is needed and valued.
Please take the survey today and share your thoughts! This survey closes on Friday, May 18.
Regards,
Stacy Germany

Parents – it is time to prepare for the 2018-2019 school year. If you anticipate your student(s) will be riding the school bus again please fill out a new Bus Rider Contract. Contracts are being sent home with your students 2 May 18. A separate contract is required for each student. Please return the contract to your student''''s bus driver NLT 24 May 2018.
Parents – As you know, safety and security for our students is top priority at Midlothian ISD. This year MISD implemented the SmartTag badging system to further protect our students who travel on a school bus. For this system to be successful we need the partnership and support of our parents. Over the past several months the number of students getting on and off the bus without their badge has increased significantly. In order to maximize the protection of our students, effective May 4, 2018 the following guidelines will be implemented for students without a badge:
1st instance – The bus driver will counsel the student
2nd instance – MISD Transportation Dept will e-mail the parent
3rd instance – Student will no be permitted to ride home on the bus (PM)
NOTE: If a student has misplaced their badge they must report to their campus office and request a new badge at a cost of $5.00
We thank you for your cooperation and support as we ensure the safety of our students at MISD.

I smile from ear to ear and twirl around so fast,
I feel as if I could take off into the sky.
This is when my heart is happy.
Happiness, sadness, bravery, anger, shyness . . . our hearts can feel so many feelings! Some make us feel as light as a balloon, others as heavy as an elephant. In My Heart explores a full range of emotions, describing how we feel physically, inside. With whimsical illustrations and an irresistible die-cut heart that extends through each spread.
