VOCABULARY WORDS
- EYE - the first part and calm spot at the center of the storm.
- EYE WALL - the second part of the storm, made up of thunderstorms surrounding the eye of the hurricane.
- RAINBANDS - the third key part of the hurricane. They are bands of dense clouds that surround the the eye wall & they from large amounts of rain as the storm travels across the ocean.
INSIDE THE EYE
- This is a representation of a plane in flight inside of the middle of a hurricane eye
- It's fairly calm in the area
- In the darker areas, under the white cloud, is a storm brewing into that area.
- The winds around the eye are at least 20-40 miles across.

- This map shows the actions of the hurricane.
