The Vienna-Finley Spell Bowl team did a great job in the competition on Thursday night!
Our Vienna-Finley "Knit Wit" club is in full swing! Students in this group learn the basics of loom knitting and design and create their own crafts. They learn how to knit hats, scarves, blankets and so many other great things! This club encourages trying new things and supporting others. It is sponsored by our very own Mrs. Tracy South and pictured, is Daniel Jones with his newest personal creation, a Santa hat for the holidays!
Student Council members at Vienna-Finley welcomed guests and Veterans on Friday, November 10th. They welcomed and escorted guests to their seats for the annual Veterans Day celebration to honor those who have served in the armed forces. During the program, students honored guests and pinned them in front of the audience. A very special presentation of the colors was performed by Cub Scout Troop 4023, led by Brandt Feltes, and the colors were carried by Daniel Jones and Trevin Baldwin. Musical performances were given by Tonia Huffman, Madison Brown, Jaylee Chandler, Ty Hancock, Chloe Mullins, Baylee Amos, and Daniel Jones. Thank you to all Veterans for your service. Vienna-Finley appreciates your contribution to our country.
During the recent celebration in honor of all Veterans, students gave a powerful performance of "America, the Beautiful" and "God Bless America" to the audience. The celebration that took place on Friday, November 10th, at Vienna-Finley, included a performance from the entire student body as they serenaded the audience with a unique sign language and audio rendition of the songs.
During the annual Veteran's Day Program at Vienna-Finley Elementary School on Friday, November 10th, Cub Scout Troop 4023 presented and retired the colors. Led by student, Brandt Feltes, the troop gave an outstanding presentation. Daniel Jones and Trevin Baldwin carried the colors. Thank you to Troop 4023 for a great presentation for our Veterans and spectators. We appreciate all you do!

PBIS Braves Bucks Are Piling Up!
Our students are working hard for those Braves Bucks! Each time they exhibit good behaviors, staff members may award them with Braves Bucks. These bucks are used to purchase the PBIS prize for the month and one lucky winner is drawn from the used bucks each month, as well. Our students and staff are loving this new programs and working hard to earn those bucks.
Please send in those Box Tops! The next competition has begun!
IMPORTANT: BACKGROUND CHECKS
PBIS Braves Bucks
Vienna-Finley began a new positive behavior program this year as part of the Scott2 elementary initiative with Positive Behavior Intervention Support, otherwise known as PBIS. Through this program, students are recognized for positive behavior choices and awarded Braves Bucks, which can be spent each month a special PBIS prize. Once spent, the bucks are used monthly to draw one lucky student and staff member for an additional prize. Vienna-Finley held the first Braves Bucks drawing during lunch on Tuesday, August 29th. The lucky winners for August were Lilly Goetzinger and Mrs. Lindsey Cazares! Congratulations to everyone who worked to earn Braves Bucks as part of the new PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) program. Great job!
We have a great new way to keep in touch at VFES! EventLink!
