Welcome Back!

Another school year has arrived!!! Along with the smiling faces, the making of new connections, and the rekindled friendships, the beginning of a new school year brings what seems to be an endless stream of forms. To help you make sense of the items in the packet we sent home on the first day I have listed the name of each item that should be signed and returned by Monday, September 14th:

1. Responsibility Slip – Please make changes where necessary, sign and return. Please note, there are several places where your signature is requested.

2. Acceptable Use Policy – Parents/guardians and students should review this information, which can be found on our website, and be sure to sign the responsibility form in the correct spot indicating that you have done so.

3. Free and Reduced Lunch Application – This must be completed and signed by parent/guardians who would like to be considered for the free and reduced lunch program. Since PreK parents have already completed this during registration this for is only for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

4. Annual Health History Update –This form should be completed and signed by parents/guardians.

Welcome Nurse Mercado

This summer, Nurse Nancy relocated and resigned from Haddon Township to take a nursing position closer to her new home. She is very sad to be leaving the wonderful families and students at Stoy and Jennings, but is excited to begin her position in her new school.

It is my pleasure to inform you all that the Haddon Township School Board approved our recommendation for Mrs. Michele Mercado to be the new School Nurse at Stoy and Jennings. In addition to her previous nursing experiences, Nurse Mercado has worked the Mt. Laurel School District as a part-time nurse as well as in Haddon Township as a substitute nurse and a “Class Trip” nurse.

We are excited and happy that Mrs. Mercado is joining our staff and welcome her to Haddon Township.

Construction 2015-2016

Though we are still planning our official "groundbreaking", construction preparation at Stoy School began on August 31, 2015. As you can imagine, we are excited for our building to begin its transformation and cannot wait for it to be done. We understand that this is going to be a rather long process, however, we will do our best to remain positive, flexible and always on the lookout for "teachable moments". Though there may be times of annoyance and even frustration, the addition and updates are going to be AWESOME when it's done!

Stoy School Website

We use our Stoy School website ( as a form of communication and information sharing with you. Digital versions of the Parent and Student Handbook, the Acceptable Use Policy, Curriculum guides, calendars, the Stoy School Wednesday Information Folder and the like can all be found here. We encourage you to visit our website often to see what is happening at Stoy. If, however, you do not have access to the Internet, please feel free to contact the office and request copies of all that is posted.

New Lunch Program

This year The Haddon Township School District has changed our food management company. NutriServe will be taking care of our lunch service across the district and will be updating the way students buy lunch. The ticket system has been eliminated and students will be given personal identification numbers (PIN’s) that are connected to an account that can be replenished online. Please see below for more information.
