Data Walkthroughs - NEW CDT Resource

Data can tell a school's story. The needs assessment section within the Comprehensive Plan is a comprehensive evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the school with the expressed goal of determining how the school can best build on its strengths and improves on challenged areas in order to enhance student learning in the school. The purpose of this Data Walkthrough section is to assist schools in analyzing their data for the purposes of District/Charter Level planning.

The PA Planning Team has included a new resource in the Data Walkthrough section that is specific to Classroom Diagnostic Tools - CDTs. The document includes introductory statements about the CDTs, directions on how to access this data and a series of guiding questions to use when analyzing the CDT reports.

To view this document, please visit your District/Charter Level Plan and select "Needs Assessment". Click on "Data Walkthroughs" and you will find the document at the bottom of the screen.

Reminder for Phase 2 entities

Get a jump start on revising and updating your Comprehensive Plan by visiting the following areas: Profile, Core Foundations, Assurances and Needs Assessment: Analyzing Data. Review each of these areas and begin making any changes necessary. As a reminder, your Comprehensive Plan will need to be submitted via the web application by November 30, 2016.

Evaluating your Action Plan

When revising and updating your Comprehensive Plan, start by visiting your Indicators of Effectiveness. These are the specific, student-based data sources and targets you chose when developing your Action Plan.

To access your Indicators of Effectiveness, select your Comprehensive Plan >District/Charter School Plan and click on View Action Plans. Select "Build" next to your populated Action Plan(s) and click on "show details" under the goal statement. Measure your success - Have you met your target? Are you making progress toward meeting your goal? Does your target need to be adjusted since your last submission?
