Multiplication

In fourth grade, students should be able to recall their multiplication facts through 12 x 12. Please set aside time at home for students to study their multiplication facts. Flash cards can be purchased at many of the grocery or dollar stores or students can make their own using index cards. There are also many math websites that help reinforce multiplication that your child might enjoy. A couple of my favorites are listed below.

www.multiplication.com - This site has many multiplication games. Look for Quick Flash II. It’s a simple, speedy, and fun flash card activity to practice multiplication facts.

www.aplusmath.com - This site has flashcards, games, and worksheets.

www.sumdog.com – This site is a favorite of mine and many students!

www.freerice.com – Answer multiplication questions and donate rice to help feed the hungry!

Also, here is a link for some apps that may help your child practice. http://imaginationsoup.net/2014/10/best-multiplication-apps-kids/
