Toussaint L'Ouverture
Toussaint L'Ouverture was born on May 20, 1743 and died on April 7,1803.
Toussaint liberated the country, Haiti, by gathering troops and armies and helped the French defeat the Spanish and then later tried to defeat the French and lost. Later he died.
The first signifigant fact about Toussaint is that he was the only black general to defeat three of the world's biggest armies: French, British, and the Spanish. The second one is he set up the first legal code for Haiti and that's how Haiti got its independence.
