KINDERGARTEN ENTRY
Believe it or not, it’s time for our school office to start preparing for next year’s enrollment. CMS Parents, if you have a child who will be entering kindergarten next school year, please email Terry Lakin at lakint@norwalkps.org. In your email, please include your child’s name along with the name and grade of your current CMS student. When applications become available, we will email them to those who responded. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
To qualify for Sibling Priority:
· Both the incoming sibling and the current CMS student MUST attend CMS next year.
· Completed sibling applications must be returned by the application deadline (date TBD).
· Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the loss of sibling priority.
SIXTH GRADE ENROLLMENT
Attention CMS Fifth Grade Parents: We will be holding virtual information meetings and presentations on the CMS Middle School Program. Please be on the lookout for further information.
EXCITEMENT IN KINDERGARTEN!!!!
Max, James and Beckett showing Mr. Thomas the note left by the Gingerbread Men!
Have you heard the news? It seems when Mr. Thomas was helping the kindergarten students decorate their gingerbread men, he added way too much "magic sugar" and the gingerbread men came to life and ran away! Our students frantically searched for their cookies - even made announcements over the PA. Fortunately, when the students were outside at recess, the gingerbread men decided to come back! Thank you to all of the CMS students and staff who assisted in the search!
CMS STUDENT COUNCIL COLLECTION DRIVE
In keeping with our tradition of maintaining meaningful and strong community ties, the CMS Student Council is sponsoring a "Spreading Joy" collection to benefit the Open Door Shelter. They are collecting small items such as socks, gloves, hats, packages of gum, toothbrushes, toothpaste, pocket flash lights, deck of cards, etc. (Only new items please.) The collection will run from January 11 – 29. Please drop off your donations in the box in the front hall. Thank you.
REMINDER: School Meal Distribution Update
PLEASE NOTE: The outdoor Grab-and-Go program at CMS is now self service. Meals will be left in the trailer for parents to pick up. Meals will be checked regularly and replenished when needed.
