Ankeny Battle of the Books is Still Accepting Teams!

Ok, we're not sure of the exact date yet in May. But... we are planning on it being held live at Southview Middle School and we are excited to work with our students again for this rousing competition among Southview, Northview, Parkview, and Prairie Ridge students.

Our book list is incredible - a wide-variety of genres are represented, and all have been published within the last few years. Students can form a team with fellow Southview students, or let the library staff know if they want us to help them find a team. We already have two teams registered from Southview, and we'd like to triple or quadruple that!

Check out the link to the Ankeny Battle of the Books to see specific information about registering a team, the list of books, and the permission form.

Email Mrs. Kauffman if you have questions.

SV/NV Project Lit Book Club

Our first read is Wings of Ebony by J. Elle. Students met during flex and we Zoom'd with our NV counterparts to discuss the book. And eat, because what is a book club without food?

Students selected There's Someone Inside Your House for the next book club discussion that will happen in December. This one will just include SV students.

If you have a student interested in joining the SV book club, have them stop in the LMC to get information.
