Important Information to Note for This Week . . .

CMS Families,

It is important to note that Corner Middle School is in session each day this week. Corner High School will have an Opportunity Day on Tuesday, October 5th. This does not impact our school. Students will have a much longer "weekend" beginning Saturday, October 9th. School will be closed on Monday, October 11th in observance of Columbus Day. This is a 12-month employee work day. In addition, the first eLearning Day for students will be on Tuesday, October 12th. Employees will be at work for professional learning and work day. Please make a note of this information in your calendars as you plan for your students in the days ahead.

Jefcoed Extends Mandatory Mask Policy into October

CMS Families,

Last week, Jefferson County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, announced that Jefcoed schools will extend its mandatory mask order into the month of October. Dr. Gonsoulin stated district leaders will continue to watch Jefoced data and have conversations with healthcare leaders to make the most informed decisions possible.

As a reminder here are the current procedures that are in place:

Families, please help us by providing your student a mask each day of the school week and encouraging him/her to wear it properly during the school day. Thank you so much for your support!
