Word From The Woods

Bishop Woods School Newsletter - 9.5.21

Welcome Back!

Greetings Bishop Woods Families,

First off, I want to thank all families for your support and patience with our arrival and dismissal. To help with the arrival, starting on Wed. Sept. 8th, you will be able to drop your child off at 8:00. We were able to hire additional staff, who will watch our children until the teachers arrive. For this procedure to run smoothly, please have your child ready to be dropped off so we can keep the cars moving. Please do not let your child out of the car until an adult is there to open the door. We do not want any accidents. Safety of your child is our number 1 priority.

Overall, we had a great week! The majority of students came prepared in uniform, and are learning the procedures for their new grade level very quickly.

Please remember that there is no school on Monday, September 6th in observance of Labor Day and Tuesday, September 7th in observance of Rosh Hashanah. Students return to school on Wed. Sept. 8th.

K-1 Parents, please continue to have your child wear the yellow bus bracelets.

Our uniform policy is being adhered to this school year.

  • All K-4 students can wear a white, or forest green polo shirt and khaki bottoms.
  • Students in grades 5-8 can wear a navy blue polo shirt and khaki bottoms.
  • The gym uniform is a PLAIN gray t-shirt/sweatshirt with gray sweat shorts or sweatpants. There should be no logos on gym uniforms.

Please go to nhpsorientation.net and complete the authorized internet and technology use policy, also known as AUP. This will allow your child to get their chrome book.

Lastly, if you haven not yet signed up for Remind text messages you can do so by downloading the Remind App and Simply text the message @bwfam to the number 81010.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and we look forward to seeing all of our Bishop Wood's students ready to learn on Wed.
