We are asking that students bring in drawings, pictures, and artifacts (menus, flyers, art, etc) from their neighborhood as we are going to be creating collages.
What Else Are We Learning?
Writing: We have started our unit on small moments. Students have brainstormed important people and places in their lives. Now they are choosing a small moment to focus on. Ask your child about his/her ideas!
Math: We are learning about parts of ten and how to use these parts to help us add and subtract. As part of our daily routine, we are discussing the number of days we have been in school and finding objects that represent a length that is smaller, the same, and longer than that number in inches. This week we located objects that were 20 inches, 21 inches, and 22 inches.
