PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Liberty Park Families,
It's hard to believe that we are down to the final days of the 2018/2019 school year! Students and teachers are still working hard and wrapping up our end of year benchmark assessments. We also have lots of fun and exciting things happening as this school year comes to an end. Please read through this newsletter carefully as there are a lot of opportunities available for this summer as well!
This Friday is our 2nd Annual "A Walk in the Park" fundraiser event. Thank you so much for those families that have already been able to support this fundraiser. Student pledge forms are due this Friday.
Somehow students are very excited and claiming that they are duck-taping me to the wall and throwing pies at my face! (see student flyer pictured below). This is a new fundraiser that we started last year which is completely donation/pledge based. This has replaced our spring fundraiser of selling items. We would like this event to become an annual tradition!
Flyers like the ones below for our "A Walk in the Park" came home last week. Additional forms are available in the front office and also by clicking this link.
If you would like to donate online click this link! https://squareup.com/store/liberty-park-elementary-pta.
Please consider helping support our students by participating in this pledge drive. THANK YOU in advance for your support of LP!
Have a great weekend and as always, I thank you for your continued support of Liberty Park Elementary!

Jason Brooks

Attendance Update
Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. Every school day counts in a child's academic life... a missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn. The effects of lost school days build up one absence at a time. Leaving early or coming in late, is a loss of instructional time that cannot be made up.
During the month of April our attendance was 96.5%. Thank you for all that you do to ensure that students are healthy and attend school regularly.
