Lake Victoria
This magnificent lake is the largest lake you will find in Africa. Found between Tanzania and Uganda, this freshwater lake is a great place to take the kids for a boat ride. Or you can just relax on its sandy shores. This lake is the main source of the Nile River.
Sahara Desert
Bordered between the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert is the largest desert in the world. All 3,500,000 square miles is covered in regions of sand dunes. This large desert stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea. The Sahara would be a great place to get a tan. It is also a great place to explore, with a guide.
Nile River
The Nile River is an important source of hydroelectric power. It flows northward through Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Zaire. This river is 4160 miles long. This long river fertilizes most of the crops along its banks. This gorgeous river would be a great get away place to just relax.
Madagascar
Located in the Indian Ocean is the gorgeous island of Madagascar. The island is the 4th largest island in the world. It consists of mostly highland plateaus. Sadly, most of its vegetation has been deforested. But it is the perfect place to get away and relax.
