In the year 1665 Christiaan huygens invented the first pendulum clock.
In 1675 he created the balance wheel and spring assembly found in some of todays watches.

Christiaan Huygens discovered that Saturn had several rings. Also he discovered one of the moons that Saturn had so he called it titian
1681
Huygens worked on lenses that were 37 m, 54 m and 64 m long. Roughly around this time he discovered the achromatic eye (piece for a telescope) wich was named after him.
