Sea Dragon Literacy Lab Update
Winter Break Edition December 2023
Ms. Hall's Corner
Hello Lin. Howe Families!
I hope this note finds you well as we begin the count down towards the end of the 2023 calendar year. As we look forward to winter break, and taking some time to unwind and spend time with family I am excited to reflect and rejoice on all things reading here at our school. I have seen many students during trimester one showing grit and determination towards becoming the most skilled readers they can be. Whether it is a first grader practicing how to fluently blend sounds to read words, or a fifth grader diving into the deeper comprehension of a text the learning that happens all around me is magical. In this update you will find a variety of optional ways to continue to engage our young readers over winter break, and tips and ideas to foster comprehension when reading at home. I look forward to hearing about all of the wonderful reading you are able to share together, and look forward to 2024!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Happy Reading!
Ms. Hall
