Sunday School: “Dive In”
I hope that everyone is doing well. This Sunday our lesson is “Dive In – Keep Swimming”. I encourage you to share this with your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, any kids!!! I will have copies at the church if you are unable to print and am available to meet you there at any time. You might also want to check out some books from our library. I would also be happy to mail the lesson to you. Let’s stay in touch. I can be reached via email at mpcr4@yahoo.com or my cell phone 309-253-3979. Yours in Christ, Pat
Calling all 5th, 6th, and 7th graders!!
Join me for an online Bible Study, "Jesus In The Spotlight". We will meet online at a time that is good for everyone. I have the books and am happy to mail a copy or you can pick one up at the Church. Please contact Pat at 309-253-3979 or mpcr4@yahoo.com.
Looking for more activities for kids AND adults? How about making cards and/or writing notes to our Church members who are recovering from illness, in retirement homes, or to just encourage and stay connected with each other. Let's share happy thoughts during these difficult times when we are apart. Contact Pat at 309-253-3979 or mpcr4@yahoo.com. I will be happy to pick up your cards/notes or arrange a time to drop them off at the Church.
PUMC PRAYER CHAIN
It has come to our attention that Google groups has dropped some names and email addresses from the list of prayer chain recipients. For that reason we have had to set up a different way of sending the prayer request emails.
If you would like to remain on the prayer chain email (or would like to be newly added) please send an email to Helen at htlewis22@comcast.net. If you already received an email from Helen and responded, you do not need to send her another email.
HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP NEXT SATURDAY!
The good weather means that Highway Cleanup time is upon us. For all of you new members and friends, PUMC is responsible for cleaning Cedar Hills Dr. from Knoxville/Rt. 40 to Bland Rd. (See map below.)
We need 6-10 people meeting in the Banner School parking lot at 9:00 a.m. for approximately 1 hour on the last Saturday of the month. If there is a Sunday School class or family that would like to do it as a group but at a different time/day, that is great -- just get in touch with Lois Yoches (243-5062) or contact the office.
The county supplies the neon, reflective vests and trash bags; each person should bring working gloves and sturdy shoes. The cleanup works best if one person stays on the top portion of the ditch and one covers the lower part so no one has to walk up and down the steep ditch.
First date of the year is Saturday, May 30th! See you in the Banner School parking lot at 9:00 am!
