Your body uses protein to build and repair tissue.You also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin and blood.

What can happen if the body receives too much protein or not enough?

If the body does not recieve enough protein it may stunt the person growth,reduce immune function, and increase susceptibility to infection. However, if the body receives too much protein it can cause weight gain,extra body fat,stress on your kidneys, and dehydration.
