Noble News
Week of 5/28
Principal's Message
I can't believe it but it is the last week of the school year!!! Our scholars have been enjoying lots of fun-filled activities and I know that there are many more planned this week. Please support an amazing end of the school year by reminding your scholars to follow our schoolwide expectations - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, Be Kind.
This summer, Ms. Copez (Noble's Community Learning Center Organizer) will be hosting a variety of programming around the neighborhood. Due to much construction at Noble Elementary this summer, programming will not be taking place at our school but community locations. Ms. Copez will be sending home a flyer of events and locations this week - so get excited!!

Safety Reminders
The Noble Neighborhood Library is currently closed for renovation resulting in more middle school and high school students on our Noble playground equipment after school than usual. Unfortunately, there have been a few instances where these students have made unsafe decisions with one another. We have asked for an increased Cleveland Heights Police presence after school to ensure the safety of all.
This is an important reminder that if a student is planning on using the playground equipment directly after school. They must have a parent present. Students can come back to use the playground equipment after checking in at home if their families allow it, but they need to go home first.
Thank you for your attention to these safety reminders!
NOBLE LIBRARY NEWS
The renovation is expected to last roughly a year, and a groundbreaking is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 16th.
Limited services will still be provided in the neighborhood during the closure at two satellite locations:
- a small space at the BNH Building at 2940 Noble Road will contain public computers, holds shelves, circulation and reference services, and a small collection of items to check out;
- children's and teen after school programs will be offered at Disciples Christian Churh, 3663 Mayfield Rd in Cleveland Heights on a regular basis, beginning in April. Programs are listed at heightslibrary.org and in the Check Us Out program guide.
Noble School Highlight
We have had a big year of growth in Kindergarten this year. Scholars can identify all their upper and lowercase letters and their sounds. Many scholars have learned to blend those sounds and read words and are able to write those words in a complete sentence. Scholars have learned how to be a part of a class family and school community. Scholars can identify numbers 0-20, write them in order, compose and decompose the numbers. We are fluently adding and subtracting through five. Scholars can compose and decompose teen numbers using a ten group and extra ones. Scholars are familiar with 2D and 3D shapes and the difference between flat and solid shapes. It is so amazing to see our scholars grow from August until now. Thank you to all our families working so hard at home with your scholars as well. Have a safe, restful summer!
