If you would like to enroll your scholar in VirtualED for second semester (which begins January 24), please fill out this information form by January 5. Scholars who enroll should plan on spending the remainder of the year in VirtualEDU. This will be your last chance to enroll in VirtualEDU for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year.

Hopkins Schools and the City of Minnetonka are asking for feedback from community members on a new name for the fitness center at Hopkins High School. We are now in the third and final phase of this process where we are asking community members to vote on the top four name suggestions generated from Phases 1 and 2. We will bring the top vote(s) to the Hopkins Public Schools School Board for final approval, and then will announce the new name shortly thereafter. I want to start by saying thank you for allowing me to be a part of your scholar's educational experience. Thank you for trusting me with your stories and hardships. Thank you for being amazing caregivers/parents.

I have accepted a position with ICA food shelf and my last day will be January 3rd. In this new role I will be working to get more families the resources they need. ICA is not just a food shelf but has a host of other resources and connections. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions by calling 952-938-0729. I will also continue in my part-time role as a family academy facilitator for Northside Achievement Zone. I will miss all the scholar's, their smiles, their jokes, and yes...even their attitudes (pre-teens I tell ya! HA!). I love your babies as if they are my own and hope that they all learn to walk in their purpose and find their vocation.

To the parents/caregivers I encourage you as your scholar's primary teacher to let your voice be heard. When possible, attend the PTO meetings, attend the board meetings, ask tons of questions, and lean on each other for support. This has been a rough two years, but you all are doing it, and I am so proud of you. I am proud of us!

A new collaboration between ICA and the City of Hopkins will provide easily accessible employment tech support throughout the fall. Starting September 8, an ICA representative will be at the Hopkins Activity Center to help members of the community search for their perfect position. ICA employment staff can help with online job searching, creating a resume and submitting applications.

Employment assistance will be offered every Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in the Hopkins Activity Center computer Nook.

Hello Hopkins families! Are you looking for a winter/spring sport or activity for your student(s)? How about Ultimate frisbee? Hopkins Ultimate is holding an Information/Registration meeting on Thursday, January 6 at 7pm in the Hopkins High School cafeteria. We are recruiting players for our Middle School League (grades 5-8) in the elementary schools, but also encourage older kids to join too (we also have JV and Varsity teams).

New to Ultimate? No problem! We will teach you everything you need to know - no experience necessary and EVERYONE gets to play! Ultimate is a fun sport that combines skills from other traditional sports like soccer and football, but is it low contact and is played with a disc (frisbee). It is a sport that is grounded in good sportsmanship, fairness, and respect. The Middle School League is co-ed, so we welcome girls and boys alike.
