Message from the Principal
This week we experienced so much collective joy, and it was just a delight to watch. On Wednesday, we celebrated one of our most precious school-wide events called Star Day. On this day, we celebrate kindness throughout our building, and we do our best to spread that kindness to the people who mean so much to us. If you'd like to learn more about what Star Day is all about, please watch the presentation from our current 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Belvedere, and our former Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Pederson. It describes why and how we celebrate this unique and special tradition at Eisenhower.
Today, we played a game of School-Wide Bingo! Our MCs, Mrs. Blackledge and Mr. Shepherd coordinated a delightful combination of Bingo, Dance Party, and fun prizes!
Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious cargo. I know that today, amidst the rumors and social media trends, it may have been especially difficult to send them off to school. I appreciate you and the tough decisions that you make. Have a fantastic winter break!
BINGO!!

Renaming the Fitness Center at Hopkins High School
To: Our Eisenhower/XinXing/Juntos families
From: Charmaine Bell, Family liaison
I want to start by saying thank you for allowing me to be a part of your scholar's educational experience. Thank you for trusting me with your stories and hardships. Thank you for being amazing caregivers/parents.
I have accepted a position with ICA food shelf and my last day will be January 3rd. In this new role I will be working to get more families the resources they need. ICA is not just a food shelf but has a host of other resources and connections. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions by calling 952-938-0729. I will also continue in my part-time role as a family academy facilitator for Northside Achievement Zone. If you live in the 55411 or 55412 zip codes and are interested in building community and learning about your child's development call 612-521-4405. You may end up taking a class with me!
I will miss all the scholar's, their smiles, their jokes, and yes...even their attitudes (pre-teens I tell ya! HA!). I love your babies as if they are my own and hope that they all learn to walk in their purpose and find their vocation.
To the parents/caregivers I encourage you as your scholar's primary teacher to let your voice be heard. When possible, attend the PTO meetings, attend the board meetings, ask tons of questions, and lean on each other for support. This has been a rough two years, but you all are doing it, and I am so proud of you. I am proud of us!
Once again thank you! And if you would like to stay connected with me, my email is charmaine.bell89@gmail.com.
Love First!
Charmaine Bell, Family Liaison

Ultimate Frisbee
New to Ultimate? No problem! We will teach you everything you need to know - no experience necessary and EVERYONE gets to play! Ultimate is a fun sport that combines skills from other traditional sports like soccer and football, but is it low contact and is played with a disc (frisbee). It is a sport that is grounded in good sportsmanship, fairness, and respect. The Middle School League is co-ed, so we welcome girls and boys alike.
