Hawk Update 5/8/2020
In these changing times, one challenge we face as parents is managing our child's access to online apps and monitoring interactions they may be having on social media sites. I believe the information on parental controls and social media safe site tips to be important, and there are helpful links addressing screen time limits, responsible online behavior, and ways to keep tabs on what your children are doing on their cell phones. Additionally, I included other links that are specific to Social Media Apps - what parents need to know, and how to keep children safe.
I strongly encourage you to visit the Common Sense Media site - it contains helpful and important information about Social Media Apps, other apps, reviews of books and movies, and information broken down into age-ranges of children. It is a valuable tool for parents of children navigating the e-world in this challenging time. I hope you find it helpful (and you may even learn some new lingo to impress your tween)!
