Dollars for Scholars 2021

Yelm's Dollars For Scholars chapter is a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success in our community. We hope you can join us as we raise scholarship money for the graduating class of 2021 and look forward to an exciting virtual event.

Silent bidding open now. Online bidding for LIVE Auction items starts Friday at 6pm with the finale starting LIVE on Saturday at 7pm.


Spring Conferences are Wednesday, March 31, Thursday, April 1 and Friday, April 2, 2021.

Conferences will be virtual by Zoom meetings and will be scheduled directly through Skyward. Parents will sign up in Skyward for 15-minute blocks (10 minutes for each conference, 5 minutes for transition) with each teacher of your choice.

We ask that parents prioritize 3 classes for which they most want to attend a conference and schedule those 3 conferences first. Parents may choose to attend more or less than 3, but first schedule with the 3 teachers with whom you most want to meet. If there are additional openings you can attend, then schedule with other teachers as needed. If you are unable to attend, or there are no available meeting times with the teacher you would like to meet with, then please email that teacher directly to set up a time after Spring break.

We ask that your meeting with each teacher be a maximum of 10 minutes. During this time, teachers will share current progress, positive observations about your child, and areas for growth and improvement. It will also be a time for you to ask questions and provide information about your child that may help teachers to further build strong student-teacher connections and relationships. If you are in need of a meeting longer than 10 minutes with a specific teacher, counselors will be available to schedule that meeting at a later date. If one or more of your child’s teachers are not available during your available times, please email them or visit office hours after Spring break.

We encourage all parents to bring their children to conference Zoom meetings, as having students present makes conferences more productive.

Conference scheduling will close on Monday, March 29. If a conference time needs to be changed, added or re-scheduled, please email that teacher individually.

After meeting with teachers at conferences, you will be directed to links to complete a parent survey on your conference and school experience.

Protocols for Safety

Yelm Community Schools has been approved as a COVID Testing Center. Starting Monday, March 15, staff and students that attest to having symptoms and are asked to stay home will be offered a voluntary self-administered test. The drive thru center will be open from 10am - 12pm each day at the district office. Watch the video to learn more and how the testing works.
