MILESTONES - THANK YOU
We learned a lot this year, moving to 100% on-line, but we made it through the bumps. We are already using what we learned to begin our planning process for next year.
As a small token of my appreciation, please feel free to wear jeans each day next week. No jeans passes are necessary.
Summer-itis
The thing that a lot of us forget is that we were once in middle school and were just as excited as our students will be for this month. Our job is to remain steady - like a duck - swimming feverishly below the surface to finish the job, but displaying nothing but calmness to everyone around to provide peace and serenity to our crazy world!
I ask that you remain consistent with your classroom behavior log - this will be a trying month for some as you have grown tired of the behaviors you may have allowed throughout the year. Keep them busy and engaged. Although we are cutting off grades in a few short weeks, there is still plenty of time for students who are failing or in danger of failing to have a chance to bring those grades up.
FREE Summer PL Opportunity
If you are looking for a fun and different form of PL this summer, consider going to EdCamp! This is WAY outside the PL box and has potential to be an amazing experience. If you are a teacher that has great ideas and thoughts on something that you would like to share with others or would like help figuring out how to make your ideas work and flourish this might be for you! Check out the two minute video below for a better idea of how it will run.
EdCamp Paulding will be held on June 14 at the Diane Wright Innovation Center (old PB Ritch Elementary). The registration link is below the video.
I hope to see you there!
