Help us reach our $2000 BoxTops for education goal!
Collecting BoxTops, is a no added expense way, you can help our school! Thanks to Mrs. Julie Hall, who coordinates our school efforts, we have a visual goal setting display in the lobby to celebrate our progress as we collect throughout the year. Please involve your friends, neighbors, co-workers and affiliates and we will reach our goal. Money raised from this program supports school enrichment efforts.
Real Readers Wanted!
We have had a "soft opening" of our new book room as there is more work to be done. The book room is filled with varied and leveled readers, author studies, themed topics in science, history, as well as teacher mentor texts for teaching about text features, character development, metaphor, genre, fiction, non-fiction and more. It is essential to provide a healthy diet of leveled reading materials and genres to build strong and balanced readers.
Look Who's In The News!
We have a bulletin board at school showcasing community events and sports that feature our students and members of our Pleasant Street School community. Thanks to Mrs. Jen LaRoche for setting up our bulletin board and clipping pictures. Photo credits are due to the Athol Daily and community members who have submitted photos.

B, Bee, Bus, Busy...Our Preschool is the Place to Be!
Our preschool/ early childhood education program is quite busy these days. Children rotate through both classrooms of our program as they have calendar time, story, thematic academic stations, sensory/ tactile, gross motor, and creative arts centers. Pictured: Busy B wall display, Alexis and her dad, calendar and story time with Ms. Jenn, table top activities in both classrooms, and painting with Ms. Angela.

Mrs. Goldthwaite's class thoroughly enjoyed an interactive read-aloud about, "The Little Green Monster," and then made their own green monsters. More creative thinking on display in Mrs. Webb's class as they are enjoying writer's workshop and writing stories in their journals.
