Message from the Principal
A major factor in student success is attendance. When students are not in class when the bell rings, the students are considered tardy and they are sent to Sweep for that class period. If a student accumulates multiple tardies, the student will receive additional consequences, starting at their third tardy, that range from In School Suspension and in some extreme cases Out of School Suspension. Please help us to encourage our students to be to class on time and ready to learn each period. Thank you .

Meet Ms. Pollock
For the past few years at CHS there's been a large turnover of faculty leaving teachers and students with the task of learning the names of all the new faces around campus, and the teacher in classroom 434 is no exception.
Meet Mr. Gutierrez
From Los Angeles, California, CHS welcomes Paul Gutierrez as one of CHS' new security guards. Gutierrez said it was a risk to take the job but he is happy he works here, Gutierrez fell in love with education while he was volunteering at the Chandler Boys and Girls club.

COUNSELORS CORNER
The counseling department has be busy this week, with Mrs. Petersen spending time with the Sophomores and discussing strengths and weaknesses, how to work through struggles, what we can learn about ourselves and others, and how to make a positive impact on our school and community. We also had great discussions about future choices like EVIT, the First Step Program, and the beginnings of searching for a college. Mrs. Lohr was able to accompany several students to the CAC Palooza and they had a great time exploring different career options and possibilities, and Mr. O got the opportunity to take the HOSA students to their conference. The students at CHS are AWESOME and we love working with them!
