Lost and Found

As the year progresses, we have more and more items in our Lost and Found. We will have our Lost and Found items on display on the sidewalk next to the car rider line on the afternoons of October 5-7. If your child is missing a jacket, be sure to check our collection because cold weather will be here soon.

We Need YOU for our PTO!

If you are interested in serving on our PTO Board and helping to get the PTO up and running, please email the principal, Claudia Dominguez, at Please include the position you are interested in running for and the best contact number. PTO Board members must have a child currently at WES and should be available to meet once a month for 1-2 hours to help plan school events. We need a president, a vice president, a treasurer, and a secretary. The treasurer would be responsible for keeping up with the PTO bank account, making deposits, paying for purchases, and keeping the organization up to date on all financial matters. The president would be responsible for setting up meetings and would serve as the liaison between the PTO and the school. Because there is not a current PTO Board in place with students at Williams, we will take self-nominations until October 15. We will then send out a link to vote electronically. Both parents and teachers are eligible to participate in the PTO. If you want to join the PTO but do not feel that you can commit to serving on the board, don't worry! As soon as our PTO Board is in place, communication about meetings should be shared quickly.

Counselor's Corner

October is National Bully Prevention Month.

We strive to build a safe learning environment for ALL students at WES. During whole class guidance lessons this month, students in grades pre-k through first will define the terms by accident and on purpose, identify examples and non-examples of by accident and on purpose behaviors, and explore feelings. In grades second through fourth, students will define bullying and cyberbullying, identify examples and non-examples of bullying, and explain why bullying is unacceptable and should be avoided. Students will be encouraged to make a report if they are being bullied. To make a report online visit Anonymous Alerts .

To find more information about parent and youth engagement click Stop Bullying.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at or 281-356-6866 ext. 3407.

Lunch Applications

If you are new to Williams Elementary or if you did not fill out the free and reduced lunch form last year, please click here to fill it out.

Wonder, Explore, Soar

Our theme this year is "Wonder, Explore, Soar!" We encourage you to ask your child about what they learned in class. Let your child teach you something from their school day. The best way to learn is to teach someone else.

We will hold virtual meetings on October 12th and 13th at 5:30 p.m. to review the Williams Elementary CIP (Campus Improvement Plan) and the campus STAAR data from 2020-21 as well as the campus report card and rating. All are welcome to attend via ZOOM.
