Using Goal Setting and Incentives to Strengthen School Connectedness
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)(2009), students are more likely to succeed academically, and engage in positive behaviors, when they feel connected to school. Rhodes MSP provides students the opportunity to set individual, as well as class goals, to contribute to their commitment to education. Students set a class goal of 60 lessons completed, collectively, for the week. The group ended at 112 lessons completed for the week. In addition, students who complete one full credit receive a MSP spirit shirt to promote positive school affiliation.

Tech Tools - Incorporating Instructional Applications to Enhance Edgenuity
One of the great features of Edgenuity is the students' ability to access their credits from home. To help streamline communication, alert students of notifications, and give students a platform to voice motivation, Rhodes MSP utilizes communication tools such as Remind and Padlet. Students practice using these tools to help them take ownership for their own learning initiative.
