The Leopard Call
Ladd Newsletter: September, 2019
Due to new families joining us, some of this newsletter is repeated from August.
WELCOME TO LADD!
We're excited to start the 19-20 school year with you. Here's a brochure that captures the essence of Ladd. As mentioned in the brochure, we use Multiage Classrooms for our 4/5 classrooms. We also use elements of Personalized Learning throughout the school. All of our approaches are designed to help Build Resilient Leaders at Ladd.
4th-8th graders have 4 Encore choices for the quarter. $15/semester for band or orchestra instrument rental fee. | More information to come from PTA. | Everyone has a picture taken for free. Packets can be purchased. |
Communication @ Ladd
- These "Leopard Call" newsletters will be texted periodically to help keep us on the same page. You can also stay in touch by following us on Facebook, visiting our website, and reading the emailed bulletins through PowerSchool. Rhonda can help you set up PowerSchool.
- Teacher Communication: Bloomz App, emails, phone calls, face to face visits, and more. If you want to spend time in the classroom, just let the teacher know to expect you. There is a sign-in at the office.
- It's best to schedule a meeting with the principal, as she is always popping in and out of her office & can be difficult to catch. Joni can help you with scheduling the meeting.
PTA
Joining the PTA is one of the many ways to become involved with Ladd. We do everything from organizing fun student events to funding teacher mini-grants. There are many opportunities involved with the PTA. If you have any questions or would like to join, contact us at pta_lad@k12northstar.org Keep your eyes peeled for information about our fall membership drive and membership meeting.
Deployment Days at Ladd
We recognize that many of our Ladd families have a family member deploying this school year. As a way to acknowledge and honor their service and sacrifice, on September 12th & 13th, students are encouraged to hang a yellow ribbon in our military showcase at school. Ribbons will be provided by our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC), Ms. Patt. If there is a special item or picture that students would like to bring in for this recognition, they can also be displayed in the showcase.
