Last Call for Lost & Found
Please have your child check for lost items soon!
Our lost and found, located in the office workroom, is overloaded with a variety of items. Please have your child search for any lost articles by the last day of school. Anything left in the lost and found by the end of the day on Friday, May 25th will be donated to a local charity.
If you don't trust your son or daughter to look thoroughly, please feel free to stop by during our normal office hours to give it the once over!
4th Grade End of Year Celebration
4th Grade Parents...This year we are making some exciting changes to our end of year ceremony for our outgoing fourth graders. The changes will allow us to shift from a ceremony to a celebration! We will still begin our celebration in the gym, but then we will be breaking off into classrooms for the remainder of our awards/celebration. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a class party following their awards and then are welcome to leave with parents when the celebration ends. A future Skylert will share more details and as always if you have questions please be sure to let us know.
Did you forget to order your child's yearbook?
If you did not order a yearbook, but would like to purchase one, you're in luck! We purposely ordered a few extra yearbooks to sell on a cash only, first come, first served basis.
Beginning Monday, May 14th, parents may come to the HRE office to reserve a soft cover yearbook for $20 or a hard cover yearbook for $25 -- while supplies last! Cash only and the exact amount please - we are not able to provide change. Yearbooks purchased will be kept at school and given to students when their classmates receive their yearbooks on the 22nd. Yearbooks purchased after the 22nd and beyond will be given to the purchasing parent. Once yearbooks are gone -- they're gone!
Please note: In order to maintain some semblance of order and integrity while selling the extra copies, we will NOT accept orders or cash sent in with students and will NOT take orders over the phone. Thank you for understanding and helping us to make the process fair and orderly.

Fishers Youth Assistance Program needs our help!
Fishers Youth Assistance Program needs our help!
HRE will have HAT DAY on Monday, May 21st! Not only do students get to wear their favorite hat, the proceeds are going to a great cause! The FYAP Summer Meals Program is planning to serve 600 students in the HSE district breakfast and lunch from June to August. It costs $162 to sponsor one child so he or she can have breakfast and lunch during the summer. Our goal is to raise enough money to feed at least one student over the summer!
Wear those hats so we can help feed students in need! For more information on the Summer Meals Program, please visit http://youthassistance.org/fishers
Summer Meal Program
The Fishers Youth Assistance Program is offering a free summer meal program for students who qualify for the free/reduced lunch program in the Hamilton Southeastern School District. This program will run for the 9 weeks of summer: June 4th through July 23rd, with the exception of the week of July 2nd. Families will be provided with unprepared bags of groceries with a weekly menu and ingredients for each child. The goal of this program is to provide the breakfast and lunch meals your child would have received during the school year. The program is open to children ages 2 up to those entering 12th grade in fall 2018.
To be part of this free program, you must sign your family up NO LATER THAN MAY 25, 2018. This program will be LIMITED TO the first 400 children who are registered so you are encouraged to register early. You will receive an email confirming your accepted registration.
To complete the registration and obtain more information about this program please go to: https://bit.ly/2HG5ESz
Registration is open for the HSE Preschool!
Are you looking for a preschool program for your 3- to 5-year-old? HSE offers half-day preschool classes at Brooks School Elementary, Hoosier Road Elementary, Sand Creek Elementary and Sand Creek Intermediate.
Each class is taught by a licensed teacher and an instructional assistant also aids the children. Class sizes remain small with no more than 18 students in a room. The times are 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Some families prefer the five-day option. The tuition cost is $300 per month. Others prefer fewer days per week. Families may also select two days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays) for $120 per month or three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) for $180 per month. There is also a yearly $90 supply fee.
