Go Goto History Class!
Students in Mrs. Goto's US History were discussing and reporting in groups about their prior knowledge. The topic was, "What do you already know about the powerful European nations that made up the original 13 colonies?"
They walked around the room in groups and added any content possible to their new whiteboard desks.
Together as a class they discussed the boards and learned what those Europeans countries meant to the class.

This year, Foothill's AVID enrollment sets a new record with over 230 students. The excitement is palpable in all of our AVID classrooms - students are ready to work diligently and practice the individual determination that is at the very core of the AVID student philosophy. They are eager to clear the hurdles before them as they continue the blistering pace towards achieving their college dreams.
Foothill Has 4 Cyberpatriot Teams!
WHAT IS CYBERPATRIOT?
CyberPatriot the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. The three CyberPatriot Programs are:
THE NATIONAL YOUTH CYBER DEFENSE COMPETITION
At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. The competition puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. In the rounds of competition, teams are given a set of virtual images that represent operating systems and are tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system while maintaining critical services. Teams compete for the top placement within their state and region, and the top teams in the nation earn all-expenses paid trips to Baltimore, MD for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition and scholarship money.
