Retirement gifts for Mrs. Becerra

We took the opportunity at the Family Picnic to honor MEA teacher Mrs. Becerra, who is retiring this year. Speeches of appreciation and high praise were made by our principal, a student, a parent, and a fellow teacher. As parting gifts, Mrs. Becerra received some planters with small succulent plants in them so she could "watch them grow the way she had helped her students grow." She also received a rocking chair, custom painted with a travel theme by Chloe Larosh, 12th grader. There were hugs, more hugs, and then more hugs, saying farewell to our wonderful Mrs. Becerra!

MEA Theatre Company letter from Adira Rosen

Hello MEA Community!

As the current Artistic Director of the MEA Theatre Company and a proud MEA Alumni I am reaching out to all of you to say congratulations on reaching the end of another successful year at MEA.

The MEA Theatre Company has also reached the end of a very exciting year. This year the company grew quite a bit as we brought on our first Guest Director, Erin Petersen, our amazing Communications Intern, Humnah Memon, and included almost a dozen new students in our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! I want to take a moment to thank Erin and Humnah for all of their hard work this year, we couldn’t have done it without you!

The company is continuing to grow and we need your help. Please take five minutes out of your day and read this short letter. I promise it will be worth your time as there are some BIG announcements in the letter. I hope you can take a look!

Many Thanks,

Adira Rosen

These are the pieces she played:

  • Léon Boëllmann (1862-1897), Toccata (from Suite Gothique)
