The move to Follett Hosted which took place over the summer was made possible in part by a LORI Grant from the RI Office of Library & Information Services using funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Changes to the World Book database options took place over the summer. Three databases

• Early People
• Inventions and Discoveries
• Living Green

are no longer available as individual databases. Their content has been rolled into the other databases. The widgets and links added to LibGuides sites have been removed. See more details about this on the RILINK Schools Fall 2021 Newsletter.

Currently, these carousels in Destiny Discover may be showing titles not available to your students. We recommend hiding by deselecting them under More| Admin| Display Options| Featured Content.

If your library owns ebooks and audiobooks, we suggest creating a custom carousel to highlight those titles. If you have 20 or more titles you want to highlight, creating a Collection is an option.

Resubmit the survey if you answered NO and the questions are now resolved.

This link may also be used to submit the survey for the first time. PL certificates will be sent out for 4 hours of asynchronous professional learning as soon as the process is complete and sites are ready to be removed.

As of right now, a main page with all of the schools listed and linked to their catalog will not be available.

An option might be to create a "launch page" whose link could be posted in a central location for student access. This is an example of one based on the South Kingstown School District.

We are happy to brainstorm other possible solutions to the issue created by the loss of the RICAT main page. Please contact us using the RILINK Help Request Form with your questions.

The LORI Certification window for school libraries will close on September 30. Once you have completed the LibPAS application, you will receive an email from OLIS with a link to the LORI School Year Survey which you must complete. The last step will be signing the LORI Certification form with DocuSign via email. Visit Library of Rhode Island Certification for complete details.

Although the ILL module will not be available for borrowing materials from other RILINK schools for several months, schools that are LORI certified will be able to request materials from Ocean State Libraries and have them delivered.

All Checked Out and Returning items on the Processing Needed page in your old Destiny Back Office are now listed as “Available” in your new site. You should print/download a copy of these transactions from the old site and mark them “Lost” in your new site.
