What's Happening at Trollwood?
Singin' in the Rain finally opens tonight! After a year plus an extra week of waiting, this production that so many people have poured their hearts and souls into is finally set to hit the stage.
What a difference a week can make. Last Friday, the set was in shambles after major wind damage sustained during a thunderstorm on Thursday, and we didn't know when, or even if, we would be able to open the show. But thanks to the hard work and determination of the entire Trollwood family, the show is back up and just as good as ever.
Thank you so very much to every single individual who helped pick up the pieces and put life back into Singin' in the Rain! There aren't enough words to express how much it means to all of us here at Trollwood that each of you put forth the effort to help us provide our students the opportunity to shine and show the world what they have been working so hard on all summer. The transformation that took place on our stage in just a few days was nothing short of incredible and we absolutely could not have done it without you. This accomplishment is a testament to the caring hearts and drive of this community. Thank you!
In addition to the Mainstage Musical, we had programming stretched out all across the Fargo-Moorhead community this week. The Trollwood Players and Trollwood Children's Theatre held their first rehearsals this week! TTP began rehearsal on The Best of Trollwood Sketch Comedy at Fargo South High School and TCT invaded Discovery Middle School as it began rehearsals for Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids. Totally Trollwood Musical continued rehearsals for Disney's Frozen Jr. this week and their performances are coming up quick on August 1 & 2. And ArtSpark returned to the Trollwood campus this week with four sessions, filling our grounds with students in Grades K-4.

Singin' in the Rain Opens Tonight!
Trollwood's 2023 Mainstage Musical Singin' in the Rain opens tonight, Friday, July 21 and runs July 21-23 & 25-29! It's been a bit of a rollercoaster to get here, but this amazing production is finally ready to take the stage! Tickets are ON SALE NOW and can be purchased here, by clicking on the button below, or by visiting the Trollwood Box Office in person from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin’ in the Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song, and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin’ in the Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals. Singin’ in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
Thank You Gooseberry!
Please support Gooseberry Park Players and see Disney's Descendants! They have shows tonight at 7 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday at 2 p.m. at Horizon Middle School. Purchase tickets here.
