Message from the Principal
Hello parents,
Welcome to the end of May! Memorial Day weekend is upon us!
The past few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind with the amount of activities and events that have occurred here at school. AP testing, NJSLA-S, Promenade, Prom, choir and band concerts, the 6th grade field trip, the Video Arts Designs Awards, and the Academic Awards Banquet are just a few of the many things our students have participated in recently. We hosted the middle school Colonial Conference track championship and our girl's softball team is hosting Salem today in the 3rd round of the state playoffs.
While the days have been busy, it has been simply awesome seeing our students dancing at the prom, performing in concerts, or smiling from ear to ear as they walked on stage to receive a prestigious award.
Take a look below at some of these fun events.
Be sure to have an enjoyable extended weekend with your family!
Keep Love Present,
Dr. Vivadelli

Joe Guy Becomes An Eagle Scout
Recently, local Eagle Scout candidate Joseph Guy completed his Eagle Scout project building a new fence around Building 39 in Batsto Village. This particular project provided preservation planning and improvement to the lower village. Joe was able to fundraise for materials and worked with the Master Blacksmith/Historian to design hardware for the gate in a traditional fashion at Batsto's Blacksmith shop.
Mr. Kosior's Ecology/Physics Club Boat Launch
Students in Mr. Kosior's Ecology/Physics Club collected used water bottles over the past few weeks. They constructed a boat made entirely of the bottles. Using mathematical calculations they determined the buoyancy needed to float Mr. Kosior down Woodbury Creek. Take at look at the pictures below. What fun!
8th Grade Promotion Information
8th grade parents, please be aware Tuesday May 14th, during homeroom, students will receive 8th grade Promotion and Dinner Dance information. This will include 3 tickets per family and a letter with specific details about the date, time and requirements for the Promotion Ceremony and Dinner Dance. Please be advised there will be no additional tickets given to families.

Project Graduation
Project Graduation is a safe and free night of fun for our graduates. It has been a part of Woodbury High School for many years. For the last six years Project Graduation has been held at Rastelli’s Sports & More in Deptford, NJ.
The night of graduation, our graduates return to the high school approximately 9pm. The students and parent volunteer chaperones are bused to the venue. For the next 3-4 hours the graduates enjoy many activities such as a photo booth, basketball, swimming, Gaga Ball, volley ball, Tether ball and a live DJ. Food is provided for all graduates at the venue. In years past, we raised enough funds to give participating graduates a small gift of a Wawa gift card and a Project Graduation t-shirt. At approximately 1:30 am. the students and volunteers are bussed back to the high school.
All costs, including transportation to and from the venue, are covered through fundraising efforts and donations.
The 2018-2019 Project Graduation Committee consists of only 9 parent volunteers. Fundraising has been particularly challenging this year. Our efforts have not raised as much money as we have hoped for at this point. Having so few volunteers makes it difficult to raise the needed funds.
We need your help! It doesn’t matter if your child is in elementary school, 6th, 7th, 8th grade or in the high school. Please join us at our next meeting. If we don’t get more volunteers, we fear there will be no Project Graduation for our graduates this year.
