Good Friday April 14th
Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday, on which the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is commemorated in the Christian Church. It is traditionally a day of fasting and penance.
Purple Up Day - Month of the Military Child
Purple Up Day is April 13, 2017 from 9:45 am -10:45 am. Purple Up Day is a way to honor the sacrifices military children make every day. The color purple is used because it symbolizes all branches of the military. It is a combination of Army green, Marine red, and Coast Guard, Air Force and Navy blue. Please join us as we celebrate the military children.
Teacher Appreciation - May 1st - May 5th
Teacher Appreciation Week is a great time to celebrate those who give their all to educate the children of the CSRA. Let your child's teacher(s) know how much you appreciate them.
Cinco de Mayo - May 5th
Cinco de Mayo is seen as a day to celebrate the culture, achievements and experiences of people with a Mexican background, who live in the United States. Cinco de Mayo is annually observed on May 5. It celebrates the defeat of the French army during the Battle of Puebla (Batalla de Puebla) in Mexico on May 5, 1862
Georgia Milestones Testing Schedule
Milestones Attendance
It is imperative that your student is here during his or her testing schedule. We schedule many fun things during testing week to ease anxiety and celebrate success. Students who are absent will be required to make up test and may have to miss out on fun activities. Testing starts promptly at the beginning of the school day so make sure they are here and on time.

Camp I.V.E.Y
Camp I.V.E.Y is now accepting applications for summer camp. The camp is for students ages 8-14. Scholarships are available. Please contact the Family Y at (706) 922-9622 or visit the website for additional information.
The Parent Academy
Looking to sharpen your parenting skills and have a good relationship with your children? Fort Gordon Army Community Service, Family Advocacy Program presents a series of 12 workshops covering different aspects of raising children! Sign-up for one or all twelve!! Summer School
The Richmond County School System will offer a variety of summer programs for students this year. The focus of the elementary summer school program is to provide targeted students with intensive support in Reading and Mathematics. Middle and High school students will have the opportunity to take specific courses for promotion or to remain on track for cohort graduation. Summer School employment information is located on the Human Resources site of district website.
