Attention Collegiate Parents!!
Family Fun Night was Epic!
This month we pledged to "Stomp Out Bullying" at GLA!
Here at Global Leadership Academy we are pledging to Stomp Out Bullying! This month we focused on anti-bullying in our restorative circles and morning meetings. We highlighted a different fact about bullying each day during morning announcements and discussed bullying prevention in our classrooms.
To support Anti-Bullying Month and our efforts throughout the academic year, our Rising Stars Academy scholars participated in a Kindness Scavenger Hunt and created artwork to promote inclusion and respect.
Our Legendary Leaders Academy scholars in third grade created a Friendship Chain Link, signifying their linking together by the ways they can be a buddy and not a bully. Fourth grade legends exchanged letters with the 4th grade from Global Leadership Academy South West. Scholars in fifth grade participated in a poster making challenge. Their posters are promoting the theme of Stomp Out Bullying and positive messages of inclusion, respect, and diversity.
In Collegiate, scholars in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade participated in a songwriting challenge. By writing lyrics for the song “Mean for What” (to the beat of “Nice For What” by: Drake). Collegiate scholars also created PSAs highlighting the dangers of bullying. Check out eighth grade scholar, Que Boyd, featured above!
We are still accepting enrollment into our Saturday Scholar Enrichment Program! This program is for 3-8th grade scholars only. If you child was recommended, we strongly encourage their attendance!
