Nepal's Water Crisis
By Mason and Ryan
Statistics:
- The population of Nepal is 28,120,740
- 42% of Nepal's people are below poverty line.
- 80% of people in Nepal have drinking water
- 44,000 children in each year die in Nepal
Problems/ Solutions
The water in Nepal is a big problem. A problem in Nepal each year is that population growth has effected water sources, the more the population grows the less water there is. The reason due to water scarcity is that 150 tons of waste is dumped into rivers day. The water is terribly polluted and almost most of it is undrinkable. So, obviously, the water in Nepal is a huge problem.
In my opinion, there's not a whole lot we can do to help. We can donate as many water bottles as possible. We could also send missionaries there to see whatever they can do to help. So I think we could all try to do our best to help, and with luck, it could pay off.
