VPA News: Moments Music Video
Moments Music Video
Tuesday May 24th, the KHS Band will be traveling to Portland, ME to record a music video with the NYC artist, Ryan Gibeau. The KHS Band has been working with Ryan for several months on a new arrangement of “Moments” that was created specifically for our ensemble. The music video is planned to be released in late June.
Here is a link to the original version of “Moments” written and performed by Ryan Gibeau.
Congratulations to the All-State Musicians
Wish our All-StateMusicians luck as they head off to their music festival on May 19th-21st. These musicians have worked hard and passed an audition to attend a music festival for the best high school musicians in the state. They will rehearse with high caliber conductors at UMaine and then perform a concert after three days of rehearsal.

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts - Student Insitute
Haystack Mountain School of Crafts - Student Craft Institute 2022:
For nearly forty years, more than 2,500 students have taken part in the Student Craft Institute. Serving high school students in Maine, Haystack partners with schools in larger cities and small towns to some of the most remote parts of the state and coastal communities. The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors, and educators are invited to nominate students to attend. Students live on campus, share meals in our dining hall, and focus on one discipline for the duration of the three-day program. Congrats to Sam Woodman and Ruby Rodriguez as KHS nominations for this year!KHS Athletic Complex

Class of 2025 Fundraiser
The KHS Class of 2025 Executive Council members and class advisor, Kellie Cavagnaro have decided to kick off the Class of 2025 fundraising with a Winner-Take-All-Raffle. Amy Johnson, Denise Hammond, Jennifer Seitz, Melanie Carbone, Nicole Rossics and Pam Adams will be coordinating the raffle from the parent side. We are hoping you can help by donating a raffle item or gift card.
HOW THIS RAFFLE WORKS-
Only 1000 tickets sold. The tickets are $10 per. Previously, the Class of 2017 raffle amounted to close to $4000 in donated prizes. And ONE winner WINS EVERYTHING!
The drawing will take place on May 27th, 2022.
The raffle items are donated/purchased by parents of the Class of 2025 or the students could ask their summer employers to donate a gift card or merchandise.
Suggestions/Ideas: Do you own a business that would like to donate a gift card or merchandise? Or could you purchase a gift card? Sports tickets? Previously, gas cards and restaurants were favorites! Other gift card ideas: local pizza places, DQ, bakeries, local stores/ shops, Hannaford, Target, Garden Street Bowling, Aroma Joe's...etc, etc.
THREE WAYS YOU CAN HELP!
1) Donate a raffle item or gift cards. Please send these to Profe Cavagnaro's room via your student, she is in B207. Otherwise, please see Amy Johnson.
2) Buy a couple raffle tickets (email directly to chamelda@yahoo.com and Amy Johnson will set aside tickets for you) or contact one of the parents above about selling a packet of tickets to your family & friends. (Stay tuned--MORE ON THIS TO COME! )
3) Sign up to volunteer to sell tickets at Baseball, Softball, Track, Lacrosse, and the Spring Play, as well as at town events like May Day.
(the 2025 parents will send out a Sign up Genius later next week)

Rams in the News & Other Information
Please Note the information below are simply articles from the local papers. Each morning we try to find all articles, but there could be times when some are missed.
On Thursday RSU 21 & Kennebunk High School hosted the Special Olympics for the district. It was a great event. The students were led in by police cruisers and were introduced before competing in their events. Great job to everyone involved in pulling this together for our students.
