Congrulations to SGA Candidates & Winners
Congratulations to our SGA candidates for demonstrating leadership and civic awareness in an effort to support our campus. It’s not easy to speak in front of over 500 students and our candidates did just that on Friday as they presented their campaign speeches. A special congratulations to our elections winners. We look forward to hearing your voice and agency as we work in collaboration with you to guide our campus to excellence this school year. Also, thank you to our SGA advisors, Ms. McClain and Ms. Sherer as well as our parent volunteers that helped to make Friday’s election a success.

Basketball tryouts for 7th & 8th grade boys and girls will be held on this Friday immediately after school in the gymnasium. All scholar-athletes trying out for basketball will need to have an updated health physical and will need to check with Coach Oberlin to confirm their academic eligibility before participating in tryouts.
Native American Heritage Month Presentation
I'm excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for our 7th & 8th grade scholars coming up on Tuesday, November 27th. Brittany Hunt is a member of the Lumbee Tribe and will be talking with our scholars about dismantling systems of oppression and eliminating stereotypes about Native Americans. Below is a link of a flyer for one of Ms. Hunt's earlier presentations.
