Free Workbooks on Relationships
A Seven-Workbook Series for Individuals With Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)
The information in these FREE workbooks is presented with sensitivity and reinforces the important concepts of healthy relationships: boundaries, consent, trust, respect, and responsibility. All workbooks promote critical thinking and safe decision making.
These workbooks were designed for adults (ages 18 and older) and should be used for educational purposes only.
PLEASE NOTE: These workbooks are intended as prevention education, not crisis management. If someone is struggling with their own sexuality, has been the victim of abuse, or has demonstrated problematic sexual behavior, they need counseling or other clinical support services, which are beyond the scope of these workbooks. *Some of these workbooks include educational illustrations of male and female bodies without clothes on and have sexually explicit content.*
Workbook Titles Include:
Health Series:
- Growing Up, the Life Cycle
- Women's Health
-Men's Health
Relationship and Safety Series:
- Ten Tips for Healthy Relationships
- Attractions and Safe Dating
- Say No! To Sex Abuse and Sexual Mistakes

Charting the LifeCourse
The framework is human-centric, meaning the principles are designed to reflect the needs of people. The key principles were initially developed to drive person-centered change for people with developmental disabilities and their families, but it became clear very quickly that LifeCourse framework and tools applied to everyone and that they could be used to also drive transformational change in practices, organizations, policies, and communities.
They know that to accomplish the goal of creating a framework that represents all populations, that there is a lot more work to do. The LifeCourse Nexus was designed to support this work. They hope that you will join them as they continue to refine, enhance, and develop LifeCourse resources to support transformational change for all people.
