Cyclone Central Newsletter
May 27, 2022
Cyclone Families,
Energy was high throughout our building this week as we celebrated the many accomplishments of our students this year! We are proud of the academic growth among all of our Cyclones, as well as how much we supported one another as a family of learners! It was a mix of joy and tears as we said goodbye to one another yesterday. The bonds formed this year within our classrooms were stronger than ever!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the TEAM of people that make up the Center Family. To our staff, thank you for nurturing our students and creating an environment that celebrates growth and embraces what makes each one of our Cyclones unique and special. To our students, thank you for being kind to one another, persevering through challenges, and working hard to grow each and every day. To our Center School Association members, thank you for consistently designing events that would bring our community together and support our efforts to grow students' academic, social, and emotional toolkits. To our families, thank you for partnering with us to love and support your children as they navigated another year of learning. There is no doubt that we all worked together as a TEAM to show how much Center Cyclones CARE!
This year, we also say goodbye to three members of our Cyclone staff.
- Officer Duffy, our School Resource Officer, is being reassigned after five fantastic years of supporting our school. Throughout his time at Center, he has not only helped to strengthen our safety plans, he has also made positive connections with students, staff, and families. He has also spent the past two weeks helping Officer Zack Reiland get ready to fill our SRO position next year. We will miss having Officer Duffy as a part of our every day adventures, and we wish him the best in his journey ahead!
- Mrs. Durichko, a valued member of our Custodial Team, will be retiring this summer after 23.5 years. We are thankful for the countless hours she has spent making sure our classrooms and spaces are clean and safe for our Cyclones! We appreciate her cheerful smile and will miss seeing it every day!
- Mrs. Kodish, an amazing member of our Paraprofessional Team, is retiring after being a part of our district since 1997. We appreciate her unwavering dedication to helping our Cyclones learn and grow! We will miss seeing her connect with students both in and out of the classroom each day!
I wish everyone a safe, healthy, and wonderful summer and look forward to reuniting as a Cyclone Family in August!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kate Rateno
