Academic Updates
Our AP Program is expanding and off to a great start this year!
Last year we began our AP Program with two courses, AP Computer Science and AP Language and Composition. During the 2016-2017 school year, we had a total of 40 students participate in the program. 53.8% or our students scored a 3 or higher on their AP exam, which allows them to earn college level credit. We are very proud of the students who participated in the program and our faculty. The national average for students earning an AP exam score of 3 or higher is 21.9%.
This year we introduced two additional courses to the program. AP Literature and Composition as the follow up course to AP Language for grade 12 students and AP Environmental Science for both grade 11 and grade 12 students. A total of 67 students are participating in four different AP Courses.
