Principal's Weekly Update
Volume 2 Issue 20 : December 13, 2020
Message from Mrs. Aulmer
We have made it to the last week of the marking period and the last week of school before winter break. Please check Schoology with your scholars to ensure they have turned in all missing assignments prior to Wednesday. Teachers will be working to complete grades on Thursday and Friday. Report cards will be sent home on January 6th, 2021.
This is a reminder that Friday will be the last day of school until January 5th. Our Board of Directors met Thursday night and decided that we will remain in Plan C (remote learning) until further notice. All students will return to remote learning on January 5th at 9 am.
All 4th and 5th graders who need to complete make-up MAP sessions will complete those this week. Communication will come from Ms. Williams and their teachers as to when these sessions will be held.
All Kindergarten through third grade will take their MAP tests when we return from Winter Break. The dates for the tests are below in the "What's Happening at QCSS" section of the newsletter.
We are now accepting applications for K-11th grade for next school year. If you have any family or friends who are interested in attending Queen City STEM School for next year, please ask them to visit our website at queencitystem.org and apply for our lottery. Our lottery will be held in February.
I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season and I am hopeful that we can all find some time to relax over these next two weeks. Thank you for your continued partnership with QCSS as we work to make this a successful year for all of our scholars! I hope everyone continues to stay safe and healthy.
