Letter From The CEO:
Happy May everyone!
I’m sure that you all know that our desire is to help as many of our library users in whatever ways possible while abiding by public health orders. We love you all, but not enough to break the law for you!
After communicating with the County Health Department, we have reopened curbside service for you. Safeguards are in place to ensure no-contact pickup and we have separate staff members handling incoming and outgoing items. While in-person browsing is unavailable right now due to limits on the number of people we can have in the building, you can search our catalog here and email requests to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll gather your order. Please limit your choices to five items for individuals or 15 if you’re a family for each order.
Computer use by appointment returns later this week. Here’s what you need to know to use a library computer right now:
- You will need an appointment. The number of available appointments is limited right now due to the restrictions on how many people we can have in the building, so make an appointment before you come to the building. Just give us a call during business hours at 970-532-2757.
- Per the County, anyone over 2 must wear a face covering while in the building.
- You will need to use hand sanitizer as you come in the door. Washing your hands at home or using hand sanitizer in the car are good choices right now, but you’ll still need to sanitize your hands when you come in here. We do have hand sanitizer available.
- You will need to use whichever machine we assign to you, to help with our practice of social distancing as well as sanitizing after you leave.
Do you need more good news? We have more. As always, our online services are still available to you, so if you need to check out an e-book, stream a movie, or download a magazine, you can still do that here. If you want to check out a Curiosity Kit or a board game to keep the family occupied, we are offering those through our curbside service. Watch the calendar and our Facebook page for online storytime, book club, and more. Plus full carts of new items are still coming in, so keep requesting things and we’ll keep bringing them out to you.
Stay tuned for further information as public health orders change. We miss seeing all of your smiling faces, but are happy to at least be able to wave to you when you pull up for curbside service. I promise that behind our masks we’re smiling!
Welcome to spring.
