Harrison Happenings
September 8-12
This week in Room 300...
Just FYI… our 1st nine weeks is going to be over before we know it! At the end of the quarter, we will give you your child's report card at your parent/teacher conference in October. The main focus of this nine weeks is being sure that every child can recognize every upper and lower case letter. Please practice this with them at home by showing them flashcards of letters, pointing to letters in books, etc. It is important to also do this with their first nine week sight words which we will begin soon. They will also need to be able to recognize the numbers 0-12 by sight and count to 25 without skipping any numbers. I have found that this 1st nine weeks is so important in setting your child up for success for the rest of the year, so please work on those skills regularly at home! :)
