Remote for Google Slides
Turn any device into a remote (or clicker for presentations)
Remote for Google Slides is a Chrome Extension + Progressive Web App that allows you to control the presentation slide on another device, remotely. When you are presenting, you can turn any device into a "clicker" to advance your presentation.
Get Started:
1. First, download extension "Remote for Google Slides".
2. Go to Google Slides and open any presentation slide
3. Rename the URL
from : docs.google.com/presentation/d/your_slide_id/edit
to: docs.google.com/presentation/d/your_slide_id/present
4. Wait for the presentation fully load.
5. A notification will pop up and show a link with a 6-digit code (You can also find the code from the bottom control bar)
6. Open https://s.limhenry.xyz on another device and enter the code on the page
7. You are ready to go! Now you can control the transitions of the Google presentation!
1. Add the Extension
2. Presentation URL changed to present, look and find code.
At the end of the URL, change the word "edit" to "present". Once presentation is loaded, scroll down to find the code at the bottom of the presentation.
3. Send URL/code to device and open it on the device.
Tips
Now you can launch the web app from your home screen and app drawer
- Open s.limhenry.xyz on your mobile device
- Select Add to Home screen from the browser menu
- Done! Now you will see the app icon on your home screen and app drawer
- Note: This only works on certain browser and operating system
