Thank you to our counseling team for getting this fun activity started!
MiCARES FAMILY CURRICULUM
Smith Families,
We are excited to be able to partner with Navigate 360 on the Michigan Cares program this year. This program provides a wide range of social emotional learning resources including professional development to support our teachers, lessons and activities to incorporate into our Knights+ Character Days, specific student interventions, and a library of material to help support family conversations at home.
These resources are tied to the CASEL framework of core social-emotional skills such as positive relationship building, self-management, self-awareness, social awareness, and responsible decision-making. Topics included range from positive friendship-making, to vaping, bullying, and healthy ways to manage stress.
You can access these resources by going to https://troy.suite360sel.org, signing up for a new account, and entering the activation code “TROY”.
Throughout the year, we will be adding additional resources on important topics for you to review and share with your middle school child. We hope that this will be a positive tool for you at home and we are looking forward to this opportunity to learn and collaborate together on these important topics.
