Kitchen Fire Prevention
Kitchen fires can happen easily and you need to be prepared. You can prevent fires by keeping flammable objects away from hot surfaces, keeping electrical appliances away from water, and follow the kitchen safety steps.
Never try to carry a pan with burning contents. Moving a burning pan could cause injury.
Use baking soda to pour on the flames. Don't use water because it can cause grease fires to worsen.
If the fire gets on you stop, drop, and roll until the flames extinguish.
Treating Burns
Run under cold water, don't use ice because it will freeze your tissue.
Don't use any ointment, grease, or oil because it will increase the cooking process of the burn
