Week 10

  • No homework for this week.
  • We had lots of fun on Harmony Day. All the children ran in the cross country race and everyone finished. It was unfortunate that the boys had to run too many laps and the girls not enough! But everyone gave it their best effort!
  • The children enjoyed meeting Tao and Vicki from the Responsible Pet program.
  • Our makeup Gymsports lesson will be held on Tuesday, March 31st.
  • There will be an Easter Hat Parade/Crazy Hair Day on the last day of term at 2 pm. The children have been asked to bring a gold coin to donate to charity. Mrs Sheath will be teaching the class as I will be at a Maths course.
  • Buddy Bear has had another busy week, doing cooking, making smoothies, handwriting, flying paper planes and lots more.
  • Two weeks ago our topic talks took us 'around the world'. The children's favourite places ranged from Coledale to South Africa to New Zealand to Vietnam, as well as many more. Charley's favourite place happens to be my favourite place! Now the secrets will be revealed!
  • Thank you to Alison for her photos of the cross country race.
  • Lastly I wish all of our families a happy and safe holiday. It has been a very busy term. The children have worked very hard and have settled well into the routines expected of Year 1 students. Regards, Kerrie Porter
